Who can resist making a list? Seems like everyone's doing one in some form.

This is mad backpackerish but fuggit, thats the roots of my hiphopdom. I wanted to make it more gully and seem like I have more diverse musical tastes, but if you give me two equally enjoyable albums, I'll usually take the one with scientifical gibberish over the hard coke raps. And take the '80s picks with a grain of salt because I'm still not up on my old school game.

Some heartbreaking omissions (yes, a sub-list):
Nas - Illmatic (1994)
The Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury (2006)
Scarface - Made (2007)
GZA - Liquid Swords (1995)
Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow (2002)
Eminem - The Eminem Show (2002)

What do you think is the front-runner for favorite album of 2008? For me, I am really feeling Lyrics Born's "Everywhere At Once," as well as "Man In The Mirror," by Rhymefest and Mark Ronson, which is not really an album, but I could not care less, since it is such a joy to hear.

Yeah, that Rhymefest is a dope listen definitely. I really wasn't feelin the new Lyrics Born that much. I think I'm getting over my Quannum fetish.

My favorite so far has been J-Live's "Then What Happened?" but this new ABN (Trae & Z-Ro) "It Is What It Is" is really dope too. I just need to let it sit for awhile and I think I'll like it as much as the J-Live.
